Next Launchpad Lecture Series features Dr. Van Clouse on 'Core Themes in Successful Entrepreneurship'
One of the most respected local figures in entrepreneurial education will speak at the next Launchpad Lecture Series on Tue., Jan. 22.
Dr. Van Clouse of the University of Louisville will present, “Putting It All Together: A Review of Core Themes in Successful Entrepreneurship.”
The Launchpad Lecture series gives us non-academics the opportunity to sit in on classes taught by influential professors in our city. In this case, the professor is a mentor to our mentors.
Greater Louisville Inc.’s Tendai Charasika, mentor to many local entrepreneurs and IdeaFestival University teacher on “Lean Startups,” cites Dr. Van Clouse, the Cobb Family Professor of Entrepreneurship at U of L, as one of his most significant early influencers.
The event will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center’s Conference Theatre from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.. The lecture is free, but you must register in advance here at Eventbrite.
From the news release:
GLI’s EnterpriseCorp is partnering with UofL’s award-winning entrepreneurship program and presenting sponsor Republic Bank to “launch” the 2013 Launchpad Lecture Series. The series takes professors out of the classroom to share their knowledge with the public, providing entrepreneurs and corporations exposure to practical academic thinking that can be implemented in their daily entrepreneurial ventures.
