Savor bourbon at its best at Lilly’s during National Bourbon Heritage Month

Lilly’s, A Kentucky Bistro is offering bourbon dinner and drink specials in honor of National Bourbon Heritage Month throughout September.

According to a news release, executive chef and owner Kathy Cary and chef David Scales have created an array of tempting savory and sweet à la carte dishes made with bourbon.

Lilly’s bar manager Rachel Hidinger is also offering a toast to bourbon with four new bourbon cocktail specials.

Bourbon Heritage Month dinner specials include the following:

Appetizer ($8)

  • Blue Point Oysters on the half shell with W.L. Weller Antique Bourbon apple mignonette

Entrées ($27)

  • Ashbourne Farms Red Wattle pork tasting plate
  • Cured pork loin with Old Forester mustard glaze
  • Pork belly with Old Forester apple compote
  • Pulled pork shoulder and Old Forester BBQ sauce
  • Pork terrine and vegetables pickled with Old Forester

Desserts ($12)

  • Woodford Reserve and homemade ginger ale float with rosemary ice cream

Bourbon cocktail offerings during September include:

  • Signature Bourbon-Rita ($8): Old Forester Signature Bourbon with a bacon salt rim
  • Rebel Rose ($7): Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, orange liqueur and egg white
  • Antique Nutcracker ($9): W. L. Weller Antique Bourbon, Frangelico and White Creme de Cacao
  • Kentucky Berry ($8): Maker’s Mark and Chambord
