‘Now Revolution’ authors Jay Baer and Amber Naslund coming to Louisville Digital Association March meeting
The Louisville Digital Association is bringing the authors of social media operations guide “The Now Revolution” to Louisville for its March meeting.
Jay Baer and Amber Naslund, authors of “The Now Revolution: 7 Shifts to Make Your Business Faster, Smarter and More Social,” will make a joint appearance Tuesday, March 8.
The networking event/forum is scheduled for the Louisville Visual Arts Association at the Water Tower, 3005 River Road, just east of downtown at River Road and Zorn Avenue.
Baer, a veteran digital marketer and author of the digital marketing blog Convince and Convert, lives in Bloomington, Ind.
Naslund, vice-president for Social Strategy at Chicago-based Radian6, a social media monitoring platform, is author of “Brass Tack Thinking.”
The two will discuss their “seven shifts,” which include advice on how to realign organizations internally, hire for the new era of communications and measure an organization’s success.
“The ‘Now Revolution’ operationalizes social media across the organization,” stated Louisville Digital Association co-founder Jason Falls in the release. “The book has just hit shelves, but I think this could be one of the more significant business books of 2011 because it makes social make sense to business people.
“The big question marks a lot of business folks have about the world of social media is how to operationalize it, hire for it and bring it into the company culture,” Falls stated. “This book and Jay and Amber’s presentation offers answers that others before it have not.”
The first 150 people in who RSVP for and are in attendance will receive a free copy of the book, courtesy of Keepio, ExploringSocialMedia and the LDA, according to an LDA news release.
The event will include hors d’ouevres and a cash bar. It’s free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required the form on the Louisville Digital Association’s website.
