IdeaFestival adds Wes Moore, author, NBC News regular and Oprah Winfrey Network host

The IdeaFestival has added another speaker.

Wes Moore will discuss his book “The Other Wes Moore,” which documents his discovery of a young African-American man with the same name.

The “other” Wes Moore lives in the same city and shares many other similarities to his life including ethnicity, but is serving a life sentence in prison for felony murder, according to a news release.

Wes Moore the author is an Army combat veteran, national television host, businessman, Rhodes Scholar, youth advocate and author.

Starting in December, Moore will be hosting a show called “Beyond Belief” on the Oprah Winfrey Network, Additionally, he is a national correspondent and political/economic analyst for NBC News and regularly appears on Morning Joe. Moore is on the Aug. 29, 2011, cover of TIME Magazine, an issue featuring “The New Greatest Generation.”

Moore is scheduled to present at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Sept. 23 from 1:30 p.m. to  2:30 p.m.

Other presenters for the 2011 IdeaFestival include Aneesh Chopra, U.S. Chief Technology Officer, and Cesar Millan, who has  the hit TV show “The Dog Whisperer” on the National Geographic Channel.

    First time I saw and heard Wes Moore, I was certain he was destined for great things.  When I googled him, I found he had already done great things.  I am always impressed on how smart and calm and friendly he comes across.  And that smile!!!  I wish him the best.
