The inimitable Billy Hertz is having his big Holiday Show reception Sunday, Nov. 19 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Galerie Hertz.
In addition to the regular Galerie Hertz line-up of Tom Pfannerstil, Ray Klienhelter and the rest, the Holiday Show includes painter Ivan Schieferdecker. From Billy:
…. we are extremely pleased to be re-introducing to the Louiville area the “lush, saturated with color, amazing compositions, loose but structured paintings of IVAN SCHIEFERDECKER (enough adjectives, I can add about 10 more!). Ivan’s career spans nearly 6 decades, countless exhibitions, corp., private & museum collections across America + international as well.
The show also features Columbus, Ind.-based sculpture Robert Pulley, according to Billy’s missive.
Both artist are offering works on a smaller scale for:
- A. the discriminating and addicted collector who is running out of room and/or has taken a “hit” in the market!
- B. the young collector just starting out with limited space and budget.
The holiday event will include music by jazz group Charles Rivera and the Outfit.
Galerie Hertz is at 1253 S. Preston St., just south of downtown and east of Old Louisville.
