Forecastle Founder J. K. McKnight is scheduled to attend the event, which is from 6:30 p.m to 10:30 pm, according to a news release.
The event in the main gallery will include a first peek at this year’s poster art, as well as a retrospective of Forecastle Festival poster artwork from the past ten years by artist Jeff Gaither.
Reprints of all past posters will be available for purchase, and Gaither will be on hand to sign posters “and talk shop,” according to the release.
The Rev, Revelry’s second gallery space, will feature a collection of concert posters from Status Serigraph designer Justin Helton, including regional favorites such as the Avett Brothers and this year’s Forecastle headliners, My Morning Jacket, according to the release.
After the poster event, the celebration will continue at the Monkey Wrench, a block east of Revelry.
