Louisville media are going to get the first look at the first car to be built later this year at the newly upgraded Louisville Assembly Plant.
So you know what’ll lead the 6 o’clock local news broadcast Friday night.
The 2013 Ford Escape will be at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in advance of this weekend’s 2012 Louisville New Car Show.
Mayor Greg Fischer will be there. Unfortunately, former GLI CEO Joe Reagan – the man who personally convinced Ford executives to invest $1.2 billion at their two plants here, saving thousands of jobs, not to mention securing Louisville’s future into the 22nd Century – has left for his new job in St. Louis and won’t be in attendance.
The new Escape, which is derived from a European Ford model called the Kuga, debuted back in November at the LA Auto Show.
