ACG Kentucky presenting dealmaker Ed Glasscock on the Long John Silvers deal
Association for Corporate Growth Kentucky is presenting attorney/dealmaker extraordinaire Ed Glasscock on Tuesday, June 19.
Glasscock will discuss the deal that kept Long John Silvers’ headquarters and its high-paying jobs in Louisville, according to an ACG news release.
Glasscock is an investor in LJS Partners, which acquired Long John Silvers from Louisville-based fast-food giant Yum! Brands in late 2011. Yum! Brands had long been trying to sell both Long John Silvers and A&W Restaurants, with A&W ultimately going to a Lexington, Ky.-based group.
The fast food seafood chain has about 1,300 franchised stores and 8,400 employees worldwide.
The ACG event includes networking and breakfast and will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, Third and Jefferson streets downtown.
