The Indiana Uplands Wine Trail is hosting its second-annual Uncork the Uplands wine and food festival at Huber’s Orchard, Winery & Vineyards (19816 Huber Road in Starlight, Indiana) on Saturday, July 21.
According to a news release, the event will feature local wines and food from the state’s central region, known locally as the Uplands Wine Region.
The Trail includes nine Hoosier wineries: Best Vineyards Winery; Brown County Winery; Butler Winery; Carousel Winery; French Lick Winery; Huber Winery; Oliver Winery; Turtle Run Winery; and Winzerwald Winery.
According to the release, the educational event is designed for connoisseurs and novices alike. It begins at 5 p.m. with Indiana food and wine pairings, followed by a special culinary presentation by guest chef Daniel Orr, owner of the highly regarded FARMbloomington restaurant.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go toward Ivy Tech of Southern Indiana’s Viticulture Enology Science & Technology Alliance (VESTA) and TheFARM Fund raising future culinarians at Ivy Tech in Bloomington, Indiana.
Advance tickets for the event are $65 each through July 1, and can be purchased by clicking here. Thereafter tickets will be $75, along with walk up sales on the day of the event.
