Lexington-based Alltech – Kentucky’s most aggressive company – just opened a Kentucky Ale Taproom at Blue Grass Airport.
Why is this news?
Because when Alltech isn’t capturing a huge market share of the global animal feed supplement business, they’re making beer and bourbon.
And we’re guessing Alltech is the only company on the planet that can make money with a taproom/restaurant at Blue Grass Airport, which gets about 50 passengers a month.
Actually, the Kentucky Ale Taproom will be operated by Creative Food Group, based in New York City.
Creative Food Group operates more than 40 restaurants including operations in Newark Liberty International Airport, Baltimore-Washington International Airport and New York Penn Station, according to a news release
The Kentucky Ale Taproom is scheduled to be open from 5 a.m. (just in case you need a breakfast beer) to 7:30 p.m. daily. It is next to the Concourse B entrance.
Other Alltech products featured in the Kentucky Ale Taproom include Alltech Angus, Town Branch Bourbon, Pearse Lyons Reserve and Bluegrass Sundown, according to the release.
