Rocky’s Sub Pub Sierra Nevada Tap Takeover to feature Solar Storm
When Rocky’s Sub Pub beverage director, Tisha Gainey, went to Sierra Nevada Brewing’s Beer Camp in March (the legendary brewery is in Chico, Calif.), she got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have a hand in the creation of a beer dubbed Solar Storm.
That beer, plus several others, will be featured in a Sierra Nevada tap takeover on Tuesday, July 24 at Rocky’s (715 West Riverside Drive in Jeffersonville).
According to a news release, Steve Thiel, Indiana area manager for Sierra Nevada, will host a special presentation in Rocky’s private party room for the first 40 guests to RSVP for a space by calling 812-282-3844. The event will last from 6 to 7 p.m.
During the presentation, guests will learn about the Sierra Nevada brewery, enjoy beer samples and appetizers.
If you are unable to attend the presentation, Thiel will be at Rocky’s for the rest of the evening to discuss beer and talk about one of the oldest craft breweries in the United States.
Gainey also will be there to talk about her Beer Camp experience and to raise a pint in the honor of craft beer.
The tap takeover begins at 6 p.m. with the Solar Storm tapping at 7. Additional Sierra Nevada brews on tap that night will be: Pale Ale; Ovila Quad; Summerfest; Tumbler Brown; Southern Hemisphere; Hoptimum; Bigfoot; Kellerweiss; Ruthless Rye; Torpedo IPA; and BRUX, a Russian River/Sierra Nevada collaboration beer (limited bottles). Sierra Nevada collectable glassware will be available with certain beers as a souvenir to keep, while supplies last.
