Late notice: Metro Councilman Kevin Kramer hosting Town Hall on Wheels
We’re late with this, but what a cool idea.
Councilman Kevin Kramer is hosting a trolley tour for District 11 residents tomorrow.
Reservations for tomorrow’s tour are no longer available, but people interested in joining in the next “town hall on wheels” can call Kramer’s office at 574-1111 or contact him via e-mail at: kevin.kramer@louisvilleky.gov.
And we’re guessing if they have a light load, they’ll squeeze in last-minute riders on what looks like an annual event.
The tours are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. from the Jeffersontown Library and Senior Center, 10635 Watterson Trail, according to a news release.
Kramer takes 26 constituents via trolley through District 11, according to the release:
From the release:
Kramer initiated the idea of a town hall meeting on wheels in 2005 and the tours were met with much enthusiasm. As of today, more than 125 residents have participated. Saturday’s tour will visit sites within and around District 11 including, Skyview Park, Charlie Vettiner Park and Golf Course, Jeffersontown City Hall, Hurstbourne Parkway, Bluegrass Commerce Park, the Habitat ReStore and Down Syndrome of Louisville’s Life Long Learning Center.
“We will highlight the exciting things happening in and around District 11 and give each participant the opportunity to give input and ask questions about what is going on in Metro Government. This will mark the fourth time we have conducted a town hall on wheels and the first time since the new council district borders were established.”
- Metro Councilman Kevin Kramer
The free tour tours last about 2.5 hours.
