Once upon a time, nearly every groovy Louisville home had Julius Friedman’s “Fresh Paint” art poster on the wall.

Photographer/graphic artist/designer Friedman remains a force, and Revelry Boutique Gallery has him this weekend.

Revelry is presenting Friedman’s “Dancing with Julius” exhibition Saturday, August 18 at Revelry, which is also the celebration for Revelry’s second anniversary.

The opening artist reception is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., according to the Revelry Facebook page.

Friedman’s show will include photographs on aluminum that “depict nature and beauty” as well as photos of a ballerina named Erica De La O, with whom Friedman has been working with for more than a year, according to a news release.

The event is free and open to the public.

“Dancing with Julius” runs through September 19.

Revelry is at 980 Barrett Ave., just west of Lynn’s Paradise Cafe and Regalo in the original Highlands
