Yes! Another regular downtown event ….
Art Night Under the Bridge is set to debut Fri., Sept 7 under the Second Street Bridge between Main Street and River Road.
The event will be held in tandem with the Downtown/NuLu Trolley Hop.
(The area is large, lit and covered, so we’re assuming this is a rain-or-shine event.)
Art Night Under the Bridge began last October as a one-time event.
Now, it’s billed as monthly performing/fine arts event “where art, street entertainment, live music, food and brew will come together,” according to a news release.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in tandem with the First Friday Trolley Hop.
So far, plans call for art, food trucks, live music featuring Field of Kings, Lewis Mathis and other acts, street performers, brew and PBR Bingo, which is a new one on us.
We say, ‘So far,” because the event, which has official city sponsorship, is looking to add talent:
If you’re an artist of any type that would like to sell your wares, let us know and we’ll send you our official application form. Students are also encouraged to apply and are offered reduced rates for set up.

Last year, this event was sponsored by Louisville Downtown Management District, which also holds the Trolley Hop.
We’re assuming that’s still the case.
