New Launchpad Lecture Series brings together U of L’s celebrated MBA professors and aspiring entrepreneurs

Think of this new entrepreneurship series as getting top consultants to help you with your business without paying top-consultant fees.

EnterpriseCorp, part of GLI, and the University of Louisville’s entrepreneurship program at its College of Business are hosting the 2012 Launchpad Lecture Series.

The concept is, U of L professors abandon their classrooms “to share their knowledge with the public,” through a quarterly series, according to a news release.

The Launchpad series, which, uh, launched in June, is designed to provide entrepreneurs and corporations exposure to practical academic thinking to help them in their daily entrepreneurial ventures, according to the release.

The next event Sept. 12 will feature: Dr. Robert Nixon on “Building to Last: How to Create A Sustained Competitive Advantage.”

Nixon, associate dean of the Masters Program at the College of Business, teaches corporate entrepreneurship, strategic management and project management.

This event is the second in a quarterly series. The event is free but space is limited.

Get your tickets here.

The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. the Conference Theater at Kentucky International Convention Center, 221 S. Fourth St.

Additional Launchpad lecture series speakers include:

Nat Irvin – “Riding The Wave: The Power of Trend Spotting for New Ventures”

Dr. Van Clouse – “Putting it All Together: A Review of Core Themes In Successful Entrepreneurship”
