Bristol East honors bourbon in its September brunch and lunch and dinner specials

As if Louisville ever needed a reason to drink bourbon, Bristol Bar and Grille will be celebrating National Bourbon Heritage Month in September with a bourbon brunch on Sunday at its Bristol East location on Hurstbourne Parkway.

The already classic Bristol Sunday brunch will be enhanced by several bourbon-infused items, like:

  • bourbon caramel sticky rolls with pecans
  • honey and bourbon glazed fried chicken
  • bourbon smoked salmon
  • cheddar fondue finished with bourbon
  • and Kentucky bourbon coffee cake.

Also, the waffle bar will offer bourbon peaches, bourbon-spiked whipped cream and apple caramel topping with bourbon.

The all-you-can-eat brunch buffet, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is $15 plus tax, gratuity and beverages.

And the celebration doesn’t stop there.

Throughout the month, the restaurant will be featuring lunch and dinner specials, including southern spring rolls filled with Marksbury smoked pork with collard greens; black-eyed peas and fried cheese, served with house-made bourbon mustard; bourbon barbecue chicken with bacon cheddar potato salad; and bourbon glazed shrimp and grits.

The Bristol East is located at 300 N. Hurstbourne Pkwy. The number is 502- 426-0627 for reservations or information on availability of rotating specials.
