Throughout the month of November, all Bristol Bar and Grille locations will offer special Rioja wine flights featuring four different Rioja wines (2011 Blanco, 2008 Crianza, 2005 Reserva and 2004 Gran Reserva). According to a news release, cost for each flight of the beloved Spanish wine is $11.
Then, on Wednesday, Nov. 7, the Bristol downtown location at 614 W. Main St. will host two Rioja-focused events: a tasting seminar on Rioja featuring a presentation by Dhane Chesson of Vibrant Rioja; and a Rioja Food and Wine Night, and a special Spanish dinner menu.
From 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the Bristol downtown, Chesson of the Rioja trade organization Vibrant Rioja, will conduct a tasting with six Rioja wines. Cost is $25 per person, and the price includes the tasting. Reservations are required. For more information call (502) 582-1995.
Additionally, served that evening from 5 p.m. to close, chef Ramon Forcelledo, who will recently have returned from his native Spain, will present a special Spanish menu in addition to the regular menu at the downtown location.
The restaurant will also offer a special wine list selected by master sommelier and wine director Scott Harper. Guests can purchase the wines by the glass, bottle and in flights. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling (502) 582-1995.
