“Food for Thought: An Indiana Harvest” book signing at Heine Bros. Coffee Sunday
Celebrate the release of “Food for Thought: An Indiana Harvest,” a new coffee table book featuring dynamic first-person narratives and rich
photography of Indiana farmers and producers.
According to a news release, author David Hoppe, photographer Kristin Hess, and book interviewees Jill and Warren Schimpff of Jeffersonville’s Schimpff’s Confectionery, will be at Heine Brothers Coffee Douglass Loop store (2200 Bardstown Road) Sunday, Sept. 30, 3-4 p.m.
The book signing will include an engaging discussion about the growing farm-to-table movement across the country. Ellen McGeeney, of Grasshopper Distribution, will moderate a discussion about Indiana farmers and producers who supply the Louisville restaurant and market communities.
“Food for Thought: An Indiana Harvest,” retails for $24.95, but will be discounted to $20 at the signing. All proceeds go toward funding humanities programs for the people of Indiana.
