Phoenix Hill NuLu Farmers’ Market holding 3rd Annual Apple Cider Festival Tue., Oct. 9

Louisville’s only urban farmers market is having its big event of the year Tuesday.

The Phoenix Hill NuLu Farmers’ Market will hold its 3rd Annual Apple Cider Festival from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Market is at 1007 E. Jefferson St., at the corner of Baxter Avenue and Jefferson Street, in the parking lot behind Fresh Start Growers’ Supply, 1007 E. Jefferson St.

Attendees can try their hands at pressing apples into Apple Cider with an antique apple cider press, according to a news release.

Phoenix Hill/NuLu farmers and vendors include Misty Meadows Farm, Mt. Eden Greenhouse, Barr Farm, Groce Family Farm, Finger Pickin’ Farm, Full Heart Farm, Brooks Farm, Kenny’s Cheese, Soap Express, Weisenberger Mill

There are also prepared food vendors including Chef Maria’s Greek Food, and Sweet and Savory Crepes.

Music will be by Down to Earth, the acoustic duo of Kate Sanders and Paul Whiteley

This is the rare farmer’s market with on-site parking, and it’s a Kentucky Proud event.
