Brittain Skinner will join Greater Louisville Inc.’s EnterpriseCorps as the new assistant director of the Kentucky Innovation Network. For almost four years, Skinner has been the executive director of Downtown Frankfort Inc., which has been Frankfort’s main street program since 1986. She starts on Aug. 12.
“Brittain has had a substantial impact in all of her previous roles and is especially gifted in managing a wide array of client relationships,” said Terry Gill, vice president of EnterpriseCorp. “Her diverse economic development experience will be a tremendous asset to our organization and the Kentucky Innovation Network.”
In addition to her work in the capital, Skinner co-founded The Kentucky Dirty Run, a mud-run held in Versailles where all of the obstacles are Kentucky themed. She also serves on the Bluegrass Economic Advancement Movement young professionals board.
Skinner attended Lexington Catholic High, majored in English and biology at Smith College, and has a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Georgia Institute of Technology.
The KIN is currently led by Lisa Bajorinas. This is the second hire for EnterpriseCorp in recent weeks. Amelia Gandara left FirstBuild to lead EnterpriseCorp’s Commercialization and Engagement program.
