Starting today, when you become an Insider Louisville sustaining member your donation will be matched by NewsMatch. Your membership will help strengthen journalism in our community.

We are excited to announce that Insider Louisville is one of 150 nonprofit newsrooms participating in NewsMatch this year. NewsMatch is a national matching-gift campaign for growing fundraising capacity for quality journalism and to help build the capacity of nonprofit newsrooms.

NewsMatch is supported by Democracy Fund, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation and the Facebook Journalism Project.

How it works:

NewsMatch pools gifts from local and national funders to match small-dollar donations to nonprofit newsrooms across the country. Local and national foundations provide gifts to the Fund for Nonprofit News. The Fund then matches donations to nonprofit newsrooms like Insider Louisville during the year-end NewsMatch campaign — November 1 to December 31.

Whether your sustaining membership is an annual or monthly payment, NewsMatch will match the entire year’s amount. Your $10 monthly membership will generate a $120 match for Insider Louisville.

Every organization involved in NewsMatch is vetted for their independence and ethics. We are proud to be part of this group and hope that you will join today so Insider Louisville can receive matching funds.

Double the impact of your sustaining membership today!

At Insider Louisville, we dig deeper, ask more questions, and seek experts to add analysis and context to the issues that our readers – Louisville’s stakeholders – care about the most. Our mission is to inform these readers with impactful, public-service journalism so that they can help shape outcomes. Our goal is to raise the level of civic engagement in our communities and to be an indispensable source of information about local business, government, education, health, and culture.
