Better Business Bureau of Louisville, Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky announced its 2016 Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics at a ceremony at the Olmsted. The awards honor businesses whose leaders have made a concerted commitment to conducting their business practices in an ethical manner.
Businesses are nominated by the community and then must submit to a thorough examination process and are judged by business leaders. A company need not be accredited by the BBB to win a Torch Award.
According to the BBB website, winners “demonstrate a high level of personal character and ensure that the organization’s practices meet the highest standards of ethics, and consequently generate trust.”
All award winners hailed from Louisville.
