PapaJohnsRobert Kraut, chief marketing officer at Papa John’s International Inc., is leaving the Louisville-based pizza chain.

A brief document filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission noted Kraut’s departure and stated that Robert Thompson, Papa John’s senior vice president of marketing, will assume Kraut’s responsibilities.

The document did not say where Kraut was going or when his last day is.

Thompson has worked at Papa John’s since 1999 in various marketing roles. He will report to the company’s president and chief operating officer Steve Ritchie, the SEC filing stated.

Kraut started working at Papa John’s in October 2013 after holding a similar position at Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc. Before that, he was vice president of marketing and communications at Pizza Hut Inc., a subsidiary of Louisville-based Yum! Brands Inc.
