Velocity has announced the lineup for its fourth accelerator program, which started this morning and ends with a Demo Day on June 4. For the first time, the entire cohort hails from the Louisville area.
The 100-day program features intensive instruction from more than 60 mentors using the “Lean Startup” model, which promotes a rapid customer development process, allowing startups to iterate their businesses quickly and make fewer costly mistakes.
Also included is ongoing coaching, free access to the Velocity coworking space and $15,000 in seed capital.
Velocity is a nonprofit founded in 2013 through anchor funding provided by the Ogle Foundation and the Blue Sky Foundation.
The cohort (descriptions provided by Velocity):
Credit Fair-e: Provides small-dollar consumer loan products designed to help borrowers repay loans, build a strong credit profile and reduce financial stress.
MobileServe: Makes it easy for individuals and organizations to track, analyze and communicate their service to the community.
Schedule It: The solution for routing, calling, scheduling, income reconciliation and expense tracking for Insurance Adjusters.
Smart Lanes: Provider of highly accurate, detailed demographic and behavior data based on vehicle traffic patterns.
Sweetwater Beverage: Gently caffeinated, high antioxidant, great tasting beverage from the byproduct of the the organic, fair trade coffee bean.
