EBONY MARSHMAN Intermission: David in Tahrir oil on panel 24″ square

Billy Hertz has always had an eye for new talent, from Tom Pfannerstil to Stephen Irwin.

So, you won’t want to miss Galerie Hertz’s next show, which features eight students from Western Kentucky University including Noah Hewett-Ball, leader of the Louisville-based band Cabin.

Featured artists are Jenni Dickens, Ebony Marshman, Hewett-Ball, Chasen Igleheart, Tony Just, Kate Kinder, Wesley Miller and Justin Ankenbauer.

“They’re all across the board, image-wise,” Billy told us. “But technically, they’re fantastic.

“This is going to be a really exciting show.”

And Billy said including Hewett-Ball wasn’t due to the musician’s fame. “I didn’t know who he was! I don’t know modern music ….”

The artist reception – which, may we say, are always excellent at Galerie Hertz – is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 12 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The party will include the famous Galerie Hertz garden.
