Duffey’s latest book, “The Peacemaker,” is historical fiction that touches on Native American struggles. The story follows more than 10 generations of descendants as they strive for peace and to end continuing cycles of war and famine.

Duffey is a retired history and English teacher who taught in the public school system for more than 20 years. She is also the author of “The Season.” Her bio says she’s an advocate for change in American society to create peace through creating sustainable communities and ending global competition for limited natural resources.
