Frank Sinatra once said, “May you live to be 100 years and the last voice you hear be mine.” Well, on Dec. 12, Sinatra would have turned 100. In celebration of the legend’s century milestone, Jack Daniel’s is releasing Sinatra Century, a premium whiskey made from unique, handcrafted barrels, that retails for $479.99 and includes a USB tie clip loaded with unreleased Sinatra recordings.
Louisvillians will get two opportunities to taste the Sinatra Century whiskey, purchase a bottle and meet Sinatra’s son, Frank Sinatra Jr., on Wednesday, Oct. 28, in part thanks to Brown-Forman, the parent company of Jack Daniel’s.
The first event will be held at the Middletown Commons Liquor Barn from 4:30-6 p.m. and includes — for a $500 ticket — a bottle of Sinatra Century, a meet-and-greet with Sinatra Jr., and a tasting of the whiskey as well.
If you have the spare change to afford the fancy release, then it’s not a bad deal considering what it retails for. And a signature on the bottle from Sinatra Jr. would look mighty fine resting on your bar in the “Do not touch, open or drink” section. Only 25 spots are available, so click here to RSVP.
Later that evening, Sinatra Jr. will head over to Varanese Restaurant in Clifton for the Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Whiskey Dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.
He’ll be the guest speaker for the evening, while diners enjoy a four-course meal paired with tastes of Jack Daniel’s, Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel and the Sinatra Century. The cost is $65 per person, and reservations can be made at the website or by calling 899-9904.
