As if you need an excuse to dine out instead of slaving away in the kitchen for dinner, the third annual Dine Around for Apron event is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27. Participating restaurants (located below) will donate a portion of their day’s profits to Apron Inc., a local nonprofit that provides temporary financial relief to chefs, servers, bar tenders and other restaurant staff due to illness or injury.

Apron serves as a safety net of sorts, as indicated by their tagline: “Helping you out of the weeds.” Founded in 2011, Apron has given more than $35,000 in grants to independent restaurant employees in need.
