So you made it through Christmas and are ready for a fresh start in 2015, right? Well, you actually have one more big decision to make: What are you doing for New Year’s Eve? Will you stay home and watch the ball drop from the comfort of your couch? Will you venture out and mingle with strangers? Will you throw down some dough and get a hotel for the night? So many decisions, so little time.
Insider compiled a list of events we endorse — if the mood strikes you to get out and boogie. Remember to be safe, drink responsibly and, if you don’t, call a cab, Uber, Lyft or City Scoot. Happy New Year!

Holy Grale — The holiest of thou beer spots in the Highlands is hosting an Around the World Dinner Party on NYE for those foodie and beer lovers who may choose to shun “the scene.” Dinner includes a six-course menu by Chef Josh Lehman designed to take your taste buds around the world one last time before the new year. Of course there will be beer pairings with each dish, and — rumor has it — there will be a bottomless beer option as well. Another rumor … music will be provided by DJ Laylow and Signifying Wolf (aka Tyler Trotter and Will Oldham). Tickets are $100, and you must RSVP to [email protected] For more info, check out holygralelouisville.com.
Tim Faulkner Gallery — The Tim Faulkner Gallery is having a party that blends music, art, drinks and dance, and we’d expect no less from the Portland warehouse that houses a gallery, bar, coffee shop and artist studios. There’ll be live music by The Debauchees, Jack Holiday and the Westerners, and The Waves, as well as a cash bar, party favors, crazy decorations and much, much more. Bristol Bar & Grille Downtown — Calling all bourbon lovers. The downtown Bristol invites you to their “Pappy New Year” dinner as Chef Ramon Forcelledo pairs a bourbon flight with a four-course menu. For $100/person, you’ll receive a flight that includes one pour of 12-year-old Van Winkle Special Reserve and three of the highly sought after Pappy Van Winkle 15, 20 and 23-year-old batches. Advance tickets are $10, or $12 at the door. Tickets are available here, more info here.
