Two NuLu businesses are partnering up to present an exquisite bourbon dinner that’ll benefit Kentucky Refugee Ministries (KRM) on Monday, Feb. 27. Rabbit Hole Distilling and Harvest are joining forces for the event, which will showcase both locally sourced food and bourbon and whiskey from the new distillery (that’s still under construction).

Chef Patrick Roney of Harvest promises a menu inspired by global influences but using Kentucky-grown ingredients. And the event will be co-hosted by Rabbit Hole founder and CEO Kaveh Zamanian and marketing director Michael Motamedi.

If you’ve been wanting to learn more about this company’s bourbons and whiskeys, now is your chance. Zamanian and Motamedi will talk about pairing bourbon with food and give an in-depth look at their products.

KRM is a local nonprofit that helps provide resettlement services to refugees in order to promote self-sufficiency and successful integration into Louisville. Zamanian tells Insider he wanted to partner with the organization due to the current political climate.

“I came to the U.S. from Iran as a teenager, and I am very grateful for the opportunities I have had because I was able to pursue my dreams as an American,” says Zamanian. “Now, being a part of the bourbon industry gives me the opportunity to give back and help others in their pursuit of happiness.”

The cocktail reception and four-course dinner starts at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, at Harvest, 624 E. Market St. Reservations are $75 and can be made by calling 384-9090.
