Forecastle Festival 2019 dropped anchor on Friday, July 12, opening its gates to an anxious crowd huddled outside the perimeter of Louisville’s Waterfront Park. Temperatures hovered in the mid to upper 80s, and word on the street was that the heat was only going to rise each day, culminating in a scorching Sunday afternoon.

The forecast, however, didn’t concern most, as people from near and far funneled into the festival to see more than 50 acts take the five stages.

Forecastle also isn’t all about the music, and there are numerous experiences attendees can partake in — from the Kentucky Bourbon Lodge and the Kentucky Landing to the Party Cove and Fruit of the Loom Orchard (really — and they were giving out free underwear!).

The Insider crew was there to document the first two days of Forecastle 2019, and below is proof that although it was hot, it was also crazy, sexy and cool.
