While Johnny Berry and the Outliers have performed throughout Louisville and beyond since 2002, each member of the band has deep roots in country and honky-tonk music. We’re lucky they hang around here and play gigs, because anyone who’s seen them play has been swept up by their Southern-inspired jams.
The band is taking its honky-tonk out to the countryside on Friday when it headlines Foxhollow Farm‘s Sunset Concert Series. The event, which has been going strong since May every Friday night, features live music, food trucks and dessert vendors, craft beer and more, all under the stars on the farm’s 1,300 acres.
All shows at the family-friendly affair go on whether rain or shine, and you’re encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, friends and even pets (on a leash). Foxhollow is a biodynamic farm located in Crestwood, just off Interstate 71.
Johnny Berry and the Outliers will take the stage shortly after opening band Fellow Travelers perform. The event runs from 6-9 p.m., and tickets are $10. (Children 12 and under are free.)
Here’s the rest of the Sunset Concert Series schedule:
- Friday, July 14 — Johnny Berry and the Outliers, Fellow Travelers
- Friday, Aug. 11 — Brooks Ritter, Andrew Hibbard
- Friday, Sept. 8 — Hog Operation, Pennies & Roses
