pop showcaseLouisville is for Lovers and Guestroom Records will bring together four bands guaranteed to leave something stuck in your brain once it’s all said and done this Friday, July 4, at New Vintage.

This so-called “pop showcase” will feature the irresistibly fun Plastic Bubble, the diverse and talented Deloreans, and the cool psych-pop of the Black Birds of Paradise. In addition, Chicago’s own Coins will come down to Louisville to headline the showcase.

Since the show falls on the holiday that celebrates America’s independence, the New Vintage has arranged for sparklers and other such party favors, as well as a good old-fashioned grill out with hot dogs, hamburgers, coleslaw and potato salad. Heck, bring a blanket and some lawn chairs and it will darn near be a picnic.

Advanced tickets are $5 at Guestroom Records Louisville, located at 1806 Frankfort Ave. Tickets at the door for $7. All tickets include a FREE cassette single (with download code) of new music by the artists.

In addition, summer passes to the remaining two Louisville is for Lovers/Guestroom records events are still available for only $10 at Guestroom Records; come armed with a copy of the cassette and download from the first showcase.
