An enthusiast can take a single class for as low as $29, which is an overview of distilling, or a full-day workshop during which students will get a hands-on lesson in distilling.

For those interested in entering the distilling industry, two-day workshops offer specialized instruction in various areas of distillate production, business management and industry best practices, while five-day courses are designed to give the most comprehensive technical training and business management education in the industry.

The first workshop is a Feb. 17-18 distillers course focusing on gin, followed by a day-long enthusiast’s moonshine workshop on March 7. The full 2014 class schedule is available online.
