Some of the superheroes of the Louisville music world will take the stage at Headliners this weekend to cover the music of Justin Timberlake and Beck. “Where It’s At” will benefit Strive, a nonprofit arts and wellness organization that formed in Louisville earlier this year. The concert — or “dance party,” as it is being billed — is being organized by Ray Rizzo of Motherlodge Live Arts Exchange, and Cheyenne Mize and Nina Rodahaffer, the founders of Strive.
The musicians will be divided into teams and battle against each other. Team Beck will be backed by Drew Miller’s Curio Key Club. Team Justin Timberlake will be helmed by Rizzo, producer Kevin Ratterman, keyboardist Andrew Sellers and others.
The bill for the event includes:
- Peter Searcy (Squirrel Bait, Big Wheel, Starbilly)
- Carly Johnson
- Mauriece Hamilton (Big Diggity)
- Scott Carney (Wax Fang)
- Lacey Guthrie (Twin Limb)
- Cheyenne Mize
- Tyrone Cotton
- Drew Miller (Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Curio Key Club)
- Nina Rodahaffer
- Jorge Ruiz
- Laura Ellis (Billy Goat Strut Revue)
- Andrew Sellers
- Ray Rizzo
More artists may be added.
The event is Saturday, Dec. 26, at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10, and the event is 18 and over. It’s a co-production with Do502. More information here.
