Happy Faux Friday to you! How excited are you to have some extra days off to play and frolic in the sun this long holiday weekend? We sure are and the weather forecast is looking good. So what’s on the radar? A full line-up of July 4th festivities! Fireworks, boat cruises, music concerts, trolley hop, just to name a few. Wednesday (7/3) Louisville Magazine July Launch Party – Join Louisville Magazine for the double launch of the July ‘Best of Louisville’ issue, along with our Fall/Winter Louisville Bride publication. Free appetizers and drink specials at Napa River Grill on Wednesday, July 3rd from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public.
Wed (7/3)- Thurs (7/4) Waterfront Independence Festival – Kick off the 4th of July festivities at the Fifth Third Bank Waterfront Independence Festival! Two days of live music, children’s activities, festival food, fireworks and fun. Full schedule of events. Free and open to the public.
Wed (7/3) & Thurs (7/4) Fireworks Sightseeing Cruise – See the Independence Festival fireworks up close and personal on the historic Belle of Louisville! Boarding begins at 7:30 pm and departs at 8:30 pm. Food and drinks available for purchase. Tickets are $25.
Thurs (7/4) – Fri (7/5) Crescent Hill Old-Fashioned 4th of July – Two days of celebration and good old fashioned fun in the Cresent Hill neighborhood! Thursday and Friday from 10 AM to 10 PM at the historic Peterson-Dumesnil House. Art fair, food & beer boths, pet show, parade, live music and fireworks both nights! Free and open to the public.
Friday (7/6) Republic Bank First Friday Trolley Hop – free event on the first Friday of every month at the shops, restaurants and galleries in historic West Main district and trendy NuLu District. And this month South Fourth District (SoFo) is joining the party! Party starts at 5 pm
Saturday (7/7) Cheyenne Mize ’Among the Grey’ Album Release –Cheyenne Mize is releasing her brand new album ‘Among the Grey’ and you’re invited to the party! Music starts at 8 pm at the Clifton Center with sets from Scott Carney (WAX FANG) and Another7Astronauts, and dance choreography from Moving Collective. Tickets are $12.
Sunday (7/8) Cherokee Triangle Summary Concert – What better way to wrap up the fun-filled holiday weekend than music in the park? Join the Cherokee Triangle Association summer concert series this Sunday from 7-9 pm. Featured artist this week is Old School (Classic Rock/Soul & Funk). Free and open to the public.

Tuesday (7/9) Waterfront Yoga – Come enjoy the beauty of the waterfront and the relaxation of yoga at the Brown-Forman Amphitheater. Classes are held every Tuesday at 7 pm, weather permitting and are $5 per person. Beginners are welcome. Bring a mat and a great attitude.
Wednesday (7/10) New2Lou 2nd Wed Social – Mark your calendars for our July 2nd Wed social. Mix and mingle with Louisville finest newbies next Wed (7/10) from 5:30 – 8:30 pm at the Sidebar at Whiskey Row. Free and open to the public, even if you are “Old2Lou”.
