In the new men’s college basketball ranking from The Associated Press, the Louisville Cardinals climbed two spots to No. 12 this week, after two home wins. The Cardinals (15-3) defeated Duke on Saturday, 78-69, and Pitt, 85-80, on Jan. 11.

Next up: Clemson at the KFC Yum! Center on Thursday Jan 19.

The Kentucky Wildcats (15-2) moved up one spot to No. 5 this week. The Wildcats defeated Vanderbilt, 86-81, at Vandy on Jan. 10, and bested Auburn at home on Saturday, 92-72.

Next up: UK travels to Mississippi State on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Villanova (17-1), which fell to third last week after five weeks as No. 1, moved back on top following No. 1 Baylor’s loss in its only week ever as a top-ranked team.
