Padma Lakshmi, host of “Top Chef,” has landed in Louisville and is sampling the local food scene.

She tweeted a photo of herself eating at Feast BBQ, 909 E. Market St. “Welcome to Kentucky! #TopChef @FeastBBQ.”

Season 16, which will be filmed all around Kentucky, begins filming Thursday, though producers are being quiet about exactly where. Challenges will be filmed in Louisville, Lexington and Lake Cumberland.

As Insider reported, NBC Universal could leave Kentucky with up to $3.526 million in state incentives after committing to film the 16th season of Bravo’s “Top Chef” in the Bluegrass state, according to Kentucky Office of Film and Development.

In the meantime, Lakshmi seems to be fitting right in.

She exchanged tweets with Chef Edward Lee of 610 Magnolia, 610 Magnolia St.

One tweeter, from Tuk Tuk Sri Lankan Bites, a pop-up restaurant in Lexington, suggested she try some Sri Lankan food when she when the group heads to Lexington, and she replied that she loved Sri Lankan food.
