Whether it’s the music that brings you to the Big Four Lawn the last Wednesday of the month or the opportunity to socialize outdoors, WFPK‘s Waterfront Wednesday is the place to see and be seen. Thousands of Louisvillians sprawl out on the lawn or hover around the beer tents, and this Wednesday’s first concert of the season (April 27) should be no different.
The lineup includes Nashville singer-songwriter Rayland Baxter (taking the stage at 6 p.m.), gospel, soul and R&B siren Liz Vice from Portland, Ore. (7:30 p.m.), and local musician and frequent collaborator 1200 (9 p.m.). As always, admission is free, and gates open around 5 p.m. There are food and drink vendors on premises, but no outside alcohol, coolers, glass or pets are allowed in.
