Louisville Metro’s Department of Public Works and Office for Advanced Planning is hosting a meeting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at Louisville Slugger Field regarding the possibility of converting Third Street, from Broadway to Main Street, to a two-way street. Another meeting on the matter is scheduled for the same time on Oct. 4 at Louisville Slugger Field.
On Tuesday at 7 p.m., the Jefferson County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting at Norton Commons Elementary School. Among the items on the agenda is approval of the 2017-18 working budget.
On Tuesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Women’s Business Center of Kentucky is holding its expo at the Muhammad Ali Center
Also on Tuesday, the IdeaFestival kicks off with Thrivals 10.0, from 8:30-3 p.m. and the annual festival runs Wednesday through Thursday evening at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts.
Friday at 8:30 a.m., Creative Mornings-Louisville will be at Actors Theatre, welcoming Harry Pickens, an award-winning performance artist, who will be speaking on how to build creative confidence that inspires creative compassion.
Louisville CARES and the Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund are hosting four joint meetings this week to provide information regarding the $14.5 million available to support for workforce and affordable housing projects.
Meetings will be held at the following dates, times and locations:
- Wednesday, September 27 at 10:00 am at Middletown Firehouse (108 Urton Lane)
- Thursday, September 28 at 9:00 a.m. at Edison Center (701 W. Ormsby Lane)
- Thursday. September 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Southwest Regional Library (9725 Dixie Highway)
- Friday, September 29 at 10:00 a.m. at South Central Regional Library (7300 Jefferson Boulevard)
