The winner gets a $500 cash prize and the opportunity to do a professional recording at Louisville’s “Premier Recording Studio,” Head First Media.

On Thursday night’s event at Fourth Street Live!, Lebanon, Ky.’s Layla Spring, the 16-year-old sensation who just competed on the American Idol TV show, will perform along with the band. Admission is free.
