New2Lou is a new social organization designed as a resource for transplants to Louisville – people who are looking to meet people, try new places and connect to the community.
Their motto is, “Get settled in, the easy way.”
But Stacey Servo, who founded New2Lou with husband Amador Delatorre III, says New2Lou also welcomes anyone looking to for an interesting, diverse and cosmopolitan group of friends.
Here’s the invitation to their next event scheduled for Wednesday, June 13 at Garage Bar, 700 E. Market St. in NuLu.
Come join us for our regularly scheduled socials every 2nd Wednesday of the month. This month we will be at Garage Bar – a trendy new restaurant located in, you guessed it, a former garage in Louisville’s East Market District (aka NuLu District). This casual neighborhood restaurant features pizzas from a wood-fired brick oven and Southern specialties along with draft and bottle craft beers, Kentucky bourbons, seasonal cocktails and wine, basically something for everyone. We plan to mingle in the outdoor patio area and the patio bar will be serving beer, cash only, so stop by the ATM on the way. Not a beer drinker, no worries, you can pick up a cocktail inside at the bar.
So come join us as we mingle with Louisville’s finest newbies! Look for the signs and people with New2Lou name tags.
The goal at New2Lou is for each person to walk away with at least one new connection. In addition, New2Lou provides an online community where they post community news, information about upcoming events and insiders’ tips that is invaluable to people new to the city.
There’s no fee for New2Lou, just whatever bar or restaurant tab you ring up.
See you at Garage Bar ….
