Social Media Explorer partners Jason Falls and Aaron Marshall are gearing up for a five-city event tour this year with SME’s signature Explore events.

The tour is scheduled to open February 17 in Dallas for the all-day, intensive learning events, according the the SME website.

Explore events are designed for marketing and communications professionals, business owners and executives.

Speaker discuss digital and Internet marketing and “provide answers and guidance beyond the primary session subjects throughout the day — without jargon, unfamiliar acronyms and tech speak,” according to the SME website.

Explore speakers included Copyblogger’s Brian Clark, Edison Research’s Tom Webster, Edelman’s Zena Weist and others.

Irvine, Calif. (Los Angeles), Oct. 19

Portland, Ore., Nov. 16

Presenting sponsors include Expion, a social media management software, and Raven Internet Marketing Tools.

In Dallas, Kevin Magee, Expion’s vice president of sales, is scheduled to talk about how brands can “go local” and get closer to their customers. Magee is bringing some statistics and case studies to show how much more effective local branded pages are versus national or corporate ones, according the SME website.

He’s scheduled to  talk about strategies larger companies can use to get more relevant connections with their customers.
